Mountain song at SEA ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL Schedule

NASHVILLE, Tenn., August 23, 2012 – Mountain Song is
calling “all aboard” the cruise ship making bluegrass waves
from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, Feb. 1-4, 2013. In addition to
the Steep Canyon Rangers, the lineup also boasts the
Punch Brothers, David Grisman Sextet,
Del McCoury Band, Tim O’Brien & Bryan
Sutton
, Shannon Whitworth, Deadly
Gentlemen
, The Kruger Brothers, Peter
Rowan
, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge,
Della Mae, Town Mountain,
Mandolin Orange and more.

floating festival is a whole new way to experience bluegrass,” said John
Felty of Mountain Song Productions. “We are very excited to launch the
inaugural sailing of Mountain Song at Sea and bring together great artists
and like-minded fans for an unforgettable experience.”

With stages around every corner, fans will enjoy intimate performances,
collaborations, spontaneous jams, activities and Q&A sessions with the
artists, all while cruising from Miami on the beautiful Norwegian Sky to
Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas reserved just
for Mountain Song at Sea guests.

Mountain Song at Sea is happy to offer all IBMA members a 10 percent
discount on the cruise. IBMA nominees performing at the festival include
the Steep Canyon Rangers, Della Mae,
Punch Brothers, Jason Carter and
Bryan Sutton.

The Steep Canyon Rangers are thrilled to add Mountain Song at Sea to the
already highly regarded annual Mountain Song Festival. “We are super
excited to be involved in Mountain Song at Sea!” says Woody Platt, lead
vocalist and guitarist for the Steep Canyon Rangers. “So many of our
favorite bands and fans will be all together for a unique festival
experience.” The Steep Canyon Rangers have spent the last year touring
extensively to support their most recent album, Nobody Knows
You
 released on Rounder Records. Mountain Song at Sea is a unique
opportunity for the band to showcase their energetic live performance.
