(Nashville, Tenn. – July 9, 2012)  Australian-born Country artist Craig Morrison
continues to receive positive feedback from critics and reviewers in
response to his self-titled U.S. album release and debut single,
“Fences.”

Respected MusicRow contributor and
music critic, author and historian Robert Oermann wrote, “This Aussie
cracks the U.S. country marketplace with a gently rolling social
statement about the nature of barricades in our lives.  Well written and
expertly produced, it’s a mighty promising debut.”

Popular
Country and Roots music website Roughstock.com noted that “‘Fences’ is
quite honestly, a lyrical gem.  The kind of song that any artist, let
alone a new one, wants to record.  The metaphor of fences being
obstacles in one’s life is something that is vivid and certainly true.
Morrison has a strong singing voice that recalls Rodney Crowell.”

Billboard.com and Music News Nashville’s Chuck Dauphin says, “There’s a
lot to like when it comes to the debut disc from Australia native Craig
Morrison.  His album is full of deep and thoughtful lyrics, guitar
riffs and some very fine guitar hooks throughout this disc.  He’s got
the vocal chops, the instrumental skills and the confidence.”

Produced by Grammy-nominated record producer Mark Moffatt, “Fences” is
Morrison’s debut single release in the U.S.  An accomplished and
award-winning artist back home in Australia, the Sydney native moved to
Nashville in 2011.  The self-titled project was released May 1 in the
States through Morrison’s own Lucky 53s label and Nashville-based
digital record label GMV Nashville.

Morrison has been on the
road visiting radio stations for the past several weeks in support of
“Fences,” which shot into the Top 5 of the Australian Country Tracks
chart earlier this year.

“I’m doing as many radio tours as I
can right now, which I think is very important,” Morrison told Country
website Nashville Love last month during CMA Music Festival.  “I want
people to get to know me, then they can understand my music more as
well.  I just want to have that opportunity to get out and meet people.”

In 2012, Morrison became a volunteer artist with the Nashville branch
of Musicians On Call, a national, non-profit organization that provides
musical entertainment to patients in local hospital facilities.

A Toyota StarMaker finalist in 2010,
Morrison was chosen as Male Artist of the Year at the 2012 Central
Coast Country Music Festival.  His “Hot Kinda Love” single was named
Country Song of the Year at the 2011 Australian Songwriter’s Awards and
is also included on the singer’s new album.  Morrison is the son of
renowned Australian artist Lucky Starr, widely regarded as a founding
member of Australian Pop music and the first to record “I’ve Been
Everywhere” and make it a No. 1 hit on the Australian charts.

Craig Morrison is available now at iTunes, Amazon.com, GMVNashville.com and major digital music retailers.  For more information about Craig Morrison, visit www.CraigMorrisonMusic.com.
