BILLY DEAN JOINS KENNY ROGERS ON 2011 “CHRISTMAS & HITS TOUR”

BILLY DEAN JOINS KENNY ROGERS ON 2011
“CHRISTMAS & HITS TOUR”
Nashville, Tenn. (November 3, 2011) – GRAMMY Award-winning country music star Billy Dean will join country legend Kenny Rogers to “jingle all the way” from Columbus, Ohio to Westbury, New York on Rogers’ 30th Christmas and Hits Tour kicking off the day after Thanksgiving.
The country stars will perform a mixture of holiday classics and their respective hits throughout 16 cities for the “Christmas in America” themed tour.  The tour makes every concert a unique experience for each city by inviting local children’s choirs to accompany the duo on stage for the show.  Dean believes this is a heartwarming aspect of the tour and the part that he enjoys most.  “A big highlight is getting to rehearse each day with the local kids who join the show,” says Dean. “To use Kenny’s words, ‘it’s not Christmas until the choir sings.'”
This holiday season marks Dean’s second year joining Rogers on the road for his annual Christmas tour.
“One of my favorite parts of the tour is every afternoon before each show, Kenny comes in to the band dressing room to hang with the guys, warm-up, and share stories,” Dean says.
“Thirty years is a long time to do anything, but a Christmas show seems to get easier every year, especially when I get a chance to work with friends like Billy Dean,” Rogers adds.  “He always brings a great energy and beautiful music to the event.”
Billy Dean is an American country music artist who, to date, has snagged thirteen Top 10 hits and holds four RIAA-certified Gold studio albums. Dean’s biggest hits include “Only Here For A Little While,” “Somewhere In My Broken Heart,” “Billy The Kid” and “Let Them Be Little.” Dean also sang harmony (along with Alison Krauss) on Kenny Rogers’ number one hit, “Buy Me A Rose.”
