ARTIST ARRIVALS FOR “THE 45th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS” PRESENTED BY MACY’S WALK OF STARS
NASHVILLE – The Macy’s Walk of Stars will be the official kick-off for “Country Music’s Biggest Night(tm)” at the red carpet artist arrivals, fan paparazzi bleachers, and global media interviews for “The 45th Annual CMA Awards,” Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Always a high point at the annual CMA Awards, this year the Macy’s Walk of Stars will be positioned on Demonbreun Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues. Country Music artists and celebrities will be able to walk down the red carpet lit by the iconic Macy’s “star” beginning at 4:00 PM/CT.
In addition, Macy’s is offering fans an opportunity to be part of the excitement with an exclusive fan bleacher section in the paparazzi photo area, where the stars stop for their fashion photos. Macy’s kicked off this partnership with a Facebook promotion, which included a trip giveaway to the CMA Awards and $1,000 Macy’s gift card.
Macy’s is promoting the partnership in Nashville with a special shopping event at the Green Hills location (main floor) on Saturday, Nov. 5 (2:00 PM/CT), where shoppers can get glammed up with complimentary hairstyling by Macy’s Premier Salon with feather hair extensions. Participants can show off their best red carpet pose and participate in a karaoke contest for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the 2011 CMA Awards. All participants will take home a copy of their recording.
“The 45th Annual CMA Awards” is hosted for the fourth year by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and features performances by Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Sara Evans, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Thompson Square, Keith Urban, Chris Young, Zac Brown Band, plus Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter singing their hit collaboration “You and Tequila,” Rascal Flatts and Natasha Bedingfield singing their current hit duet “Easy,” Lionel Richie performing a medley of hits with Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, and Darius Rucker, and co-hosts Paisley and Underwood in their first live televised-performance of their No. 1 song “Remind Me.”
