SHOW ME MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL OPENS THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 17TH

  Springfield, MO – In just two days Springfield, MO will play host to the first-ever Show Me Music and Arts festival, a three-day extravaganza featuring some of today’s top musical acts including Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Train, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, One Republic, Little Big Town, Kellie Pickler, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, REO Speedwagon, Sawyer Brown, Joe Nichols, David Nail, Gloriana, Steve Holy, Love & Theft, The McClymonts, The Cleverlys and more.

Additional attractions throughout the festival include cooking demonstrations in the Chef Pavilion by Food Network chefs Robert Irvine (‘Dinner: Impossible’), Aaron McCargo Jr. (‘Big Daddy’s House’), Ellie Krieger (‘Healthy Appetite’), stand-up comedy in the Comedy Tent Stage featuring ‘Last Comic Standing’ winner Jon Reep, and HBO and Comedy Central stars Jamie Kaler, Jimmy Shubert, Patti Vasquez, Steve Rannazzisi, John Caponera, and over 40 arts and crafts vendors from around the country.

Don’t forget to stop by the Show Me Saloon and Stage, the largest outdoor honky-tonk in the state of Missouri, serving your favorite beverages and featuring 15 national and regional acts including Candy Coburn, Louie Michael, Tommy Gallagher Band, Randy Burk and the Prisoners, Mark Chapman, Corybel Country, Liz Moriondo, Big Smith, Machine Gun Symphony, Jason Plummer and more!

In response to the recent tornado destruction through the community of Joplin, MO, Show Me Music Fest has joined with the United Way of the Ozarks to raise funds for long-term recovery for the community, and will be holding both a live auction and silent auction during the festival, with all proceeds going towards relief efforts. A bucket brigade of volunteers will also be on-site collecting donations and encouraging everyone to “Buck UP for Joplin”. Additional charities supported by Show Me Music Fest include Bridges for Youth, Isabel’s House, Protect.org, Developmental Center of the Ozarks, Cox Health Foundation, Ambassadors for Children, Boys and Girls Town, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, and Walk for Wishes.
