NASHVILLE, TN (June 13, 2011)- The First Annual “MUSIC CITY GIVES BACK” concert featuring the award-winning, chart topping star Rodney Atkins helped raise funds and tons of donations for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, held on Tuesday, June 7th on Lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee. In all, over $90,000 in gifts, donations and sponsorship dollars was raised to support the cause and provided a night of entertainment for the thousands of fans that had just hit Nashville for a wonderful week of music.
Rodney Atkins states, “This concert was built out of a labor of commitment to give back to those in need after the devastating natural disasters that have recently wrecked havoc on so many people’s lives lately. We are thrilled to be able to have given fans an opportunity to enjoy a great night of music and to donate items and money to those in need.’
