Country Band Issues 6-Song Project as Two Different Radio Singles Gain Momentum on Both Sides of the Atlantic

“…any of these six cuts could be a single.
This group is ready for the big time.”

NASHVILLE, TN (June 28, 2011) – Rising Country band, LiveWire, releases their debut EP – today, June 28. The 6-song project is available at iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon, and other digital retailers.
The EP includes two recent singles issued by the group; “Tater Fed,” their debut US single, is gaining steam at radio, while a second single, “Heart Burn,” is currently sitting at #6 on the Hotdisc Top 40 chart in Europe.
The release of the EP marks a huge milestone for the Joplin, Missouri-based band, which has been together for over a decade. LiveWire features lead guitarist Bobby DeGonia, lead singer/acoustic guitarist Andy Eutsler, drummer Adam Hagerman, fiddle player Cory Shultz, rhythm guitarist Danny Bell and bassist Landon Rolfe. Bell and Eutsler also serve as principal songwriters for the group.
LiveWire’s unique Ozark Mountain firebrand sound blends working man’s Country and rootsy Southern Rock, which is perfectly captured by co-producers Bart Pursley (Nashville engineer on projects by Gretchen Wilson & Big & Rich), LiveWire lead guitarist Bobby DeGonia, and band sound tech, Justin Woods. Edgy and passionate, their original songs are infused with the kind of lyrical honesty and expert musicianship that can only be forged through years of shared personal experiences and hardships. Themes of the common man resound – it’s music about real life: good times, hard times, poverty, love, loss, family, spirituality, death and redemption.
The EP opens with “Tater Fed,” which Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann called “a stirring backwoods rocker.” “Gone” is an out-the-door and down-the-road leaving song. “Heart Burn” showcases a tasty Beatle-esque twin guitar riff in a cautionary tale about playing it cool in love – and losing. “That’s What Makes You A Man” is a heart-tugging story of family traditions, honor, God and country. “Drink About It,” is a light-hearted fiddle-driven hook that finds the band making short work of woman trouble. “For The Last Time” ends the set with a hook-driven melody of love lost that leaves you hungry for what’s next from LiveWire.
Over the years, LiveWire has forged a reputation as one of the top-draw live acts in the Midwest by regularly packing venues in their home state and in the surrounding areas of Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas. Along the way, their homegrown talent has taken them across America where they have opened for a “Who’s Who” of the music world, and experienced a brush with the “big time” as finalists in the 2009 Colgate Country Showdown in Nashville, where they performed on the hallowed stage of the Ryman Auditorium.
