CHUCK DAY: “I’LL STAND UP AND SAY SO” SETS THE TONE FOR HERMAN CAIN ANNOUNCEMENT OF PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN 2012

Award Winning Singer-Songwriter Hopes His Message Will Make A Difference For America

(Nashville, Tennessee) –June 2, 2011 – Multi-award winning country singer/songwriter Chuck Day has already added his unique signature to the 2012 Presidential campaign. It was Day and his live performance of his  self-penned patriotic anthem “I’ll Stand Up And Say So” that were chosen by the campaign of Herman Cain to be a part of Cain’s much anticipated May presidential announcement celebration at Centennial Park in Atlanta.

An avowed patriot and outspoken Christian, Chuck was ecstatic when the opportunity came from the Cain campaign to share his thoughts in word and music on the preservation of God and America’s heritage of liberty at the packed Atlanta event.

“I was really honored to be a part of the official presidential announcement rally for Herman Cain,” notes Day. “I received a request from his campaign to email over an MP3 of my song and in less than two days I was singing at the event.  The crowd was full of supporters and the energy they projected back at the stage was amazing!  It was a very inspirational day and it was good to see Americans standing up in unity for what they believe.”

“I’ll Stand Up And Say So” (NewStep Records) is hitting a nerve with America at a time when “God & Country” patriotism is high in the national consciousness.  The song held the #1 spot on the Hot 100 chart of Christian Voice Magazine in January and February, and reached the top spot on both Cashbox and Power Source Magazine charts in February.

Chuck Day is recognized as one of today’s leading writers in the unique niche of the Christian Country/Country Gospel genre—a rare ‘bridge artist’ who has found success both in mainstream country and Christian markets.  He’s written 9 #1 songs to date—including “Midnight Cry” written with his brother Greg which was a triple crown winner as “Christian Song of The Year,” “Song of the Decade,” and among the Top 20 Christian Songs of the Century in a sweep of industry honors. He’s written major hits for name artists including Bob Carlisle, Gold City, The Hoppers, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Michael English and Clay Crosse.

As a performer, he’s been equally blessed. The International Country Gospel Music Association has recognized him as Entertainer of the Year, with Songwriter and Male Vocalist Awards added to honors. In 2000, he was inducted into ICGMA’s prestigious Hall of Fame. Chuck’s involvement as a special guest performer with Bill Gaither’s Homecoming Specials have to date brought the additional accolade of two RIAA Gold Video Awards.

Day hopes that the message of “I’ll Stand Up And Say So” will continue to grow and continue to broaden its bold message encouraging Americans to raise their voice and their votes in support of God in America and the values that have made the nation great.

“I hope that the message of the song will continue to grow and continue to broaden its bold encouragement for Americans to raise their voices and their votes in support of God and America—to ‘stand up and say so’ for the values that have made America great,” notes the singer.
