NATHAN STANLEY:
NEW LABEL, NEW DISTRIBUTION –NEW BOOKING AGREEMENT –A NEW GENERATION CARRIES THE MUSICAL TORCH OF THE “STANLEY TRADITION”

(Nashville, Tennessee) –May 25, 2011 –Working over a hundred concert dates a year on the road with his famous grandfather, co-producing his fourth album release My Kind Of Country with more than a half dozen guest artists of the caliber of Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs, launching his own solo career in music and recently opening the doors on his own Nashville based record label—Stanley Generation Records—all are fascinating dimensions of an exciting new artist on course to carve out his own unique place in the ‘family tradition.’  And he’s only 18 years old.

This week Nathan Stanley is overseeing edits of his soon- to-be released concept video Long Black Veil –the hauntingly eerie visual that will help promote his new single release that features a guest performance by Marty Stuart and is currently connecting with audiences at country radio.  For the May video filming schedule in Watertown, Tennessee Nathan enlisted the acting talents of grandfather Ralph, grandmother Jimmie Stanley, uncle Ralph Stanley II, new artist Laura Dodd (just signed to Stanley Generation Records) and  even label VP Cody Mullins for on camera cameos and supporting cast roles.

The grandson of industry icon Dr. Ralph Stanley is making all the right moves as a young creative force determined to influence a new generation of music fans to get hooked on his updated blend of  heavily bluegrass influenced country music.

New on his career horizon is the announcement this week of his booking agreement with Acts Nashville–an association that promises to launch more of the solo concert side of Nathan’s career.  “Nathan Stanley is an incredibly talented artist with years of success ahead of him,” noted agency representative Jessie Raspbury of Acts Nashville. “We’re honored to be associated with him as he carries on the family name.”

Another recent major career move has been the agreement with Sony-Red to distribute Stanley Generation Records bringing a major engine to drive the new label forward with
marketing plans already on deck or in development for  new projects by Nathan Stanley, Laura Dodd, and Ralph Stanley II.

As his new video gets ready to add additional marketing impact to the single, Nathan’s Long Black Veil is currently picking up strength on the Country and Americana charts and is being promoted as a dual venture both by Larry Paregis and Turnpike Productions and HMG Nashville Music.

Next on his career horizon: A tribute album to his grandfather. “Hopefully it will be released in early summer–it’s going to be called An American Icon: A Special Tribute to Dr. Ralph Stanley.  It’s being distributed by Sony-Red and I’m very excited about it,” he notes.

At a time when his peers are just graduating from high school, Nathan Stanley, who made his debut with Dr. Ralph on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry when he was three,  has his goals for life set—and is well on his way to making them a reality. “Being a real artist that contributes to the industry—creating a music empire and being an entrepreneur.  Honoring the Stanley name by grandfather has given me. Those are my ultimate goals.  My life is 100% music.”
