Howdy in Spreitenbach (CH)

Howdy in Spreitenbach (CH)

On Saturday, May 27th the Swiss Band Howdy played in Spreitenbach. The concert was on the occasion of a festivity that is held every two years. Luckily, they could play in a marquee because it was raining nearly the whole day. It seems that Howdy have a special wire to the weather god, shortly before the concert started the rain stopped and no one was getting wet during the walk to the concert place. The band exists since 1994 and has played with great success at different festivals in Switzerland and foreign countries.
Leadsinger
Renato Rocchinotti and his musicians (Marc Zwicky – Keyboard, Backing Vocals, Adrian Aerne – Guitars, Backing Vocals, RenĂ© Etterli – Bass, Bosco Blatter – Drums) arranged a very colorful repertoire for this evening.
The program included songs from different famous country singers as well as songs composed by themselves and also some tunes in Swiss-German. A lot of their cover-songs are from the American band “Sawyer Brown” because these songs perfectly match the typical sound of
Howdy.
Even though the evening was held under the slogan “Rockin’ Country”, the program was completed by some softer songs. Howdy succeeded in sharing their great sense of humor and their joy for playing music with the audience. Unfortunately a lot of guests left the marquee before the end of the concert despite the good vibes. However, Howdy gave their best until the last tone was played.
The man in charge of the sound was Peter “Voli” Vollenweider. Despite the challenging circumstances, he did a great job.
