NASHVILLE, Tennessee (April 19, 2011) – Mountain Music Entertainment proudly announces exclusive management representation of Rebel Records multi-award winning bluegrass artist Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice. The partnership became official the week of April 11th.  Mountain Music Entertainment will provide full management representation for Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice under the new agreement.

“Junior Sisk and his band Ramblers Choice are genuine and sincere people. I enjoy their stage shows and also spending time with them away from the performance. You couldn’t ask for a better group of guys with which to affiliate yourself” said Steve Johnson, President and CEO of Mountain Music Entertainment. “If you are looking for hard driving, traditional bluegrass music they are the “real deal” and I hope everyone will take the opportunity to get to know their music and what they offer.”

Sisk has lived most of his life in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia an area he still calls home. Growing up he learned to play the music that surrounded him in the mountains. He has had an incredible career in bluegrass music and continues to garner new accolades.  His songwriting helped The Lonesome River Band in its ascent to bluegrass stardom in the early 1990’s and  as a member of Wyatt Rice and Santa Cruz he gained even more acclaim for his singing and vocal styling reflective of the “traditional mountain sound”.  Sisk released the acclaimed “Sounds of the Mountains” in 1998 and contributed to the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award winning “The Stanley Gospel Tradition”.  A brief stint with Virginia based The Lost and Found followed before he took over the lead vocal role for BlueRidge. After leaving BlueRidge, Sisk assembled his current band Ramblers Choice and has been achieving tremendous success. Sisk has been nominated many times for Songwriter and Male Vocalist of the Year through IBMA and the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music (SPBGMA).  In 2011 the band was nominated in 8 categories at the SPBGMA awards taking home Song of the Year for Train Without a Track.  The band’s new Rebel Records release is due Summer 2011. Their last release Heartaches and Dreams  has spent over a year at the top of the bluegrass music charts. They have great expectations for the upcoming release.

“I am very excited about working with Steve Johnson and the fine folks at Mountain Music Entertainment. Steve grew up around bluegrass and has a sincere appreciate for the music. He has a business sense and drive that will keep Ramblers Choice moving ahead. We look forward to doing great things together!” said Sisk.
